You know that you’ll be charged by the hour, but you don’t know how many hours it’s going to take nor when the clock starts ticking. You’re happy to pay for advice in principle, but you need the best value for money and want to know the cost up front.
That’s why VAT Exchange Limited offers a one-hour service for just £77 plus VAT.
This is how it works:
This service is designed for one-off queries to provide outline guidance about your query. It bridges the gap between a bit of free help – such as on the VAT Forums – and engaging VAT Exchange Limited for a full consultancy service. In most cases, you’ll receive a summary of the main principles that apply to your issue, including links to relevant VAT Notices on HMRC’s website and that is often all you need to deal with your query.
You send me an email outlining your query, including your name, address and contact details. We usually arrange a time to talk (usually for about half an hour), after which I’ll send you a one – two page summary of my advice. Sometimes I can simply send you a written reply.
However please understand that there is a limit to the amount of advice that can be given in this service, and I may not be able to give you the full answer or I may need further information. Also, it doesn’t normally include reviewing contracts or other documentation. I’ll always do the best I can to help you with your query, but I’ll tell you if I think you need to take formal advice and I’ll give you an estimate of my costs for the work. However you’re under no obligation to purchase further services from VAT Exchange Limited.

If you’re interested, just send me an email with your details. I will also require payment of £77 plus VAT before starting the work and will send a VAT invoice. We also have to go through the usual engagement procedure, with an engagement letter/email, proof of identity etc.
If you need help urgently I am happy to proceed as long as I receive payment and an electronically signed engagement letter, which means that we can normally proceed within 24 hours. This would also be on the basis that you provide outstanding proof of identity later. Full terms and conditions are provided with the engagement letter.
